In this Year of the Dragon,? why not take that courage and make that change in your life that is overdue.?As a new year approaches, we think of new beginnings. Each spring the trees and plants get a new life? and a fresh start. It is also a reminder that we can make changes in our lives and make the coming year even better than the past one.It is a reminder that we are not static. The problems of last year do not need to be the same as the new year. The things we learned last year will be eclipsed by what we learn this year. This new year is a chance to grow to improve and to become who we wish to be.In my home culture, we make a “New Year’s Resolution”, a decision to do things differently in the new year. It is a chance to start on a new path, change an aspect of our character or give up bad habits and replace them with good ones.Sometimes to make a change takes the courage of a dragon. In this Year of the Dragon, why not take that courage and make that change in your life that is overdue. Perhaps it is to study harder, to take up a new hobby or skill, get more sleep or live more healthily.?Happy New Year and may this new Year of the Dragon bring success and a new direction for you!点击图片查看来自Mr Dan的新年祝福CodyIt is my hope that 2024 will provide each and every one of us at Milton the chance to become who we wish to be, by reflecting on the past and shaping ourselves into an ideal model not just in theory but in practice.?I have now worked at Milton for right at a year, and the experience has been enlightening. I hope that 2024 shines a fresh new light on the students and school. Each new year provides the important opportunity for reflection as one begins to look back at their past year, one can see where things went well while also seeing where things did not quite go as planned. This should supply the individual with many lessons acting as an opportunity to grow into a better version of themselves. It is my hope that 2024 will provide each and every one of us at Milton the chance to become who we wish to be, by reflecting on the past and shaping ourselves into an ideal model not just in theory but in practice. Thank you, Milton for giving me the opportunity to meet some wonderful colleagues who daily give me joy and support, some of you I know will be friends for many years to come. I also wish to thank the students who come to my class, participate and show their excitement with eyes wide open ready for learning. Now, let’s make 2024 a great fresh start and one of a year of growth.点击图片查看来自Cody的新年祝福JaninaI am thankful for all dedicated students that come to school every day with the ambition to learn and improve themselves.? Dedication and commitment will undoubtedly pave the way for success. It has been nearly six months since I have come back to Qingdao and I can’t believe that the year of 2023 is coming to an end already. It was a year full of changes and challenges, which also means that there were many chances for growth.?To be able to meet students that are interested in my country and culture here at Milton makes me very happy. It brings me joy to see their enthusiasm for learning about and embracing a new culture. Learning a new language will always open a door to a new world, enable you to connect to people in different countries and gives you the chance of understanding and appreciating diverse cultures and traditions.?I am thankful for all dedicated students that come to school every day with the ambition to learn and improve themselves. Dedication and commitment will undoubtedly pave the way for success.Whether you"re preparing for exams, challenging the IELTS test, or applying to universities all around the world, remember that each step you take is a step towards a brighter future. I wish that you can find the courage to chase your dreams and work hard to turn them into reality.?Wishing you all a Happy New Year, filled with endless possibilities and countless happy moments!点击图片查看来自Janina的新年祝福Kevin KIn conclusion, the past year at school has witnessed a transformative metamorphosis, characterised by pedagogical advancements and a commitment to fostering a more inclusive community.?Over the past year, I have actively participated in five science competitions as part of my academic journey. Among all these experiences, the invaluable support I received from the school"s teaching team stood out as the most beneficial. I can ask the teacher for guidance and discussion during self-study time or after class if I have any questions regarding the material covered in class or would like to learn more. Notably, the school provides weekly course tutoring for various contests, marking a significant shift in course configurations over the last two years. These changes in arrangements not only afford us substantial autonomy but also ensure the quality of instruction.?In addition to textbooks, my academic development was significantly influenced by interactions with teachers and classmates. Participation in group projects in the lab and collaborative efforts on class assignments taught me the importance of cooperation and effective communication. Embracing diverse perspectives from my peers has enhanced my understanding of various subjects. This is also the biggest adjustment at Milton for me.?Beyond academic adjustments, Milton has demonstrated a commitment to respecting and expanding students" autonomy in pursuing their interests. A notable change is the increase in the number of student clubs and the allocation of additional spaces for these clubs. For instance, the model club I joined now has a dedicated classroom, providing both protection for our models and enabling us to decorate our classroom so that our imaginations can run wild. Additionally, the introduction of mentors for each student has been instrumental in shaping our personalities. Periodic chats with mentors serve as opportunities to decompress or seek guidance on both academic and campus life.?In conclusion, the past year at school has witnessed a transformative metamorphosis, characterised by pedagogical advancements and a commitment to fostering a more inclusive community. These changes have not only made my time on campus more enjoyable but have also heightened my motivation to excel in my studies.点击图片查看 Kevin K 的MILTON生活William W??Although the cost of trying a competition is very high and you may not win a prize, the process of preparing for the competition itself broadens your knowledge, enlivens your mind, and gives you a new understanding of a subject.?Time flies and before we know it, we have passed a semester. As a freshman from a regular junior high school, campus life at Milton didn"t take me much?to adjust to. For one thing, I got used to this new studying pattern?from my extended learning, such as previewing?high school knowledge at a quite early time?and constantly improving my English level. For another, I gained confidence?from the cozy?and harmonious campus atmosphere at?Milton. The senior students are very considerate to the freshmen and give them great help both in language communication and knowledge, so that we?freshmen?can integrate into the big family of Milton as soon as possible.I am now studying seven subjects in total, of which Chinese and Mathematics are A-level courses. English, physics, chemistry, biology and economics are IG courses. None of these courses?are very tricky. From my perspective, as long as you take notes carefully, review in time after class and ask the teacher?questions?if you wonder anything, you can obtain what you deserve?in both daily tests and global unified examinations. In the international education system, there is large?freedom in deciding what students learn. Subjects can be chosen?according to students"?preferences, interests and future development direction. As for the experience when?learning a specific subject, I feel that international courses pay more attention to practical application. For example, P1 and P2 of A-Level mathematics teach basic and practical skills?the most, such as analytic geometry about the circle, simple differentiation?and integration, which are broad but not deep, and?can?be used to?solve practical problems after acquiring the knowledge. In this way students quickly get a sense of accomplishment. The permission of?the use of calculators also shows that international courses focus on mastering knowledge points rather than making complicated calculations difficult for students. For me, the pressure of school courses is not significant. Therefore after completing the tasks assigned by teachers in class, I will learn some knowledge taught in regular high school or required in competitions by myself. And teachers will also answer questions about these expanded knowledge. In this semester, I participated in the AMC10 competition in mathematics and was qualified to advance to AIME. Now I am working hard to prepare for the further exam. At the same time, I also participated in the tutoring of the Physics Bowl competition every week. Unlike regular courses, competitions require a genuine love and commitment to a subject. You need to expand and learn a mass of professional knowledge that regular courses will not cover, so the difficulty is very high. If you want to win a prize in the competition, it requires not only a strong psychological quality but also good habits of solving problems. Although the cost of trying a competition is very high and you may not win a prize, the process of preparing for the competition itself broadens your knowledge, enlivens your mind, and gives you a new understanding of a subject. It is recommended for students who are confident in their abilities, ?interested in a particular subject, and glad to challenge themselves actively.点击图片查看 William W 的MILTON生活Gina??From the moment I transferred to this school last year, I knew that the gears of my destiny began to turn. From the moment I transferred to this school last year, I knew that the gears of my destiny began to turn.If I were to sum up my experiences and memories of the last year and a half in Milton, I would think of my time with volleyball in Milton.I also like to play golf and sail, but volleyball is the only sport that gives me a sense of collective honorOur school volleyball atmosphere is particularly good, whenever we have free time to rest, we will run to the playground to play volleyball, never afraid of the volleyball court become deserted, we are not for the game to play, but because of love. I am very grateful to Grace, our coach, who led our volleyball team to win the double championship in my first year here, and let me win the girl‘s mvp in two years’ game. which is the best proof of my hard work.Thank you, Milton for letting me grow up here and achieve a better me.点击图片查看 Gina 的MILTON生活Anna ZWe used cameras to capture the beautiful moments of Milton , and then used videos to edit the bits and pieces of Milton’s moments. In my third year at Milton, I became the founder of the club which is named X photography club . We used cameras to capture the beautiful moments of Milton , and then used videos to edit the bits and pieces of Milton’s moments. This semester, our club organized three large-scale community activities. We recorded the wonderful? campus life; we set up an instant camera booth for our Fancy Dress Day; we made a Christmas special shoot for the celebration of Christmas; and a part-time shooting for the Milton Student Union Thanksgiving. I feel my campus life is really fulfilling and successful.?点击图片查看 Anna Z 的MILTON生活Skylar HI photographed many great and happy moments of my life in Milton.I"m a new student at Milton. I have gained a lot this semester, the most important of which is my English ability. My vocabulary and speaking skills have improved significantly.I also do many things that I enjoy, such as photography. I photographed many great and happy moments of my life in Milton. All in all, I had a very fulfilling and happy semester.点击图片查看 Skylar H 的MILTON生活Isabella W?The students are very cheerful, and we get along very well. We often study the points that we don"t understand in class. At present, I am the deputy minister of the Discipline Inspection Department of the Student Union, the vice captain of Sharks house, and a member of the volleyball team. Let me highlight half a semester"s experience at Milton. In the past half semester, I have gained a lot. As a freshman, when I first transferred, I was mostly nervous and uneasy, and I was afraid that I couldn"t handle the relationship with classmates well.?But clearly, it seems that I have worried too much. The students are very cheerful, and we get along very well. We often study the points that we don"t understand in class. It"s even easier to get along with teachers. Teachers are conscientious, responsible, easy-going, and easy to communicate .If we have any questions in class, the teacher will answer them quickly. They won"t be perfunctory to us because they don’t have to hurry with the progress. Every knowledge point is very thorough, so that we have time to fully understand and absorb it. In order to consolidate our foundation in Grade 9, many subjects are connected with the domestic courses, and gradually are penetrated the knowledge of international courses, then fully enter the international curriculum system in Grade 10. In addition, the knowledge of international courses is extensive but not deep, and it is easier to learn.I"m looking forward to learning in the tenth grade, because we can choose courses to promote our strengths and avoid weaknesses, so that we can give full play to our strengths, and focus more on subjects that we are interested in or the subjects related to our future career development.点击图片查看 Isabella W 的MILTON生活2024陪伴是最长情的告白人世间*好的相遇是在心上2024,梅尔顿依旧与大家以*真挚的深情见证彼此成为更好的自己
