MIS students maintain individualized development in their learning processes, exploring the essence of things, reasoning, and substantiating arguments, and deepening their knowledge through various forms of discovery, investigation, and research methods. They apply their academic knowledge to practical situations; MIS students" learning process is a self-exploration and self-actualization process. How do MISers learn and live? Let"s take a look at the highlights of last week.↓↓↓Academic Course Review 1G1: IB Music Class
In our G1 music class, we have made significant strides in preparation for our upcoming Christmas concert. The students were fully engaged in rehearsals, demonstrating enthusiasm and commitment as they refined their performance of the festive classic “Feliz Navidad”. Our focus remained on blending fundamental music theory with practical application, particularly through the understanding of crotchet beats and crotchet rests. G2: IB UOI Class
In G2, we embarked on an exciting exploration of our new unit focused on feelings and emotions. We completed a captivating book about an emotion detective, which has enhanced our understanding of emotions and feelings. We learned that emotions reflect our external experiences, while feelings pertain to our internal states.G3: IB PE Class
For G3, we continued to begin lessons in the short run to develop students’ cardio fitness and to warm them up right away in cold winter conditions. Students then spent time on the football field involved in several team competitions like the capture flag and a relay race. These were familiar games that allowed students to get moving and develop their communication skills and problem-solving skills. G4: IB Library Class
In G4 library class, students independently chose to read a variety of captivating literary stories, including “I Want to Read the World to You”, “The Wimpy Kid Diary”, “Matilda”, and “Lost in New York”. These stories not only enriched their reading experience but also perfectly aligned with our IB inquiry central idea — using creative forms of expression to convey thoughts and connect with an audience. G5: IB Dance Class
In the recent dance classes, our G5 students have entered a new phase of full-scale dance rehearsal. The dance choreography this semester is quite challenging, especially with the frequent changes in formation, which not only tests the students’ teamwork but also their adaptability and reaction speed.G6: Natural Science Class
In natural science class, our students delved into the fascinating process of seed dispersal in nature. They learned how plants ingeniously use natural forces such as wind, water, and animals, as well as other diverse methods, to spread their seeds, thereby ensuring the continuation and survival of their species. G7: International Understanding Class
Over the past week, our G7 International Understanding-Chinese history concentrated on Unit 3, “The Qin and Han Dynasties: The Establishment and Consolidation of a Unified Multi-ethnic Feudal State”. In class, we delved into the historical process of the Qin Dynasty’s unification of China and the background and course of the great peasant uprising at the end of the Qin Dynasty.G8: International Understanding Class
In the G8 International Understanding course, we delved into the global interactions and connections from the late 19th century to the early 20th century, a period marking significant changes in the global political and economic landscape. We focused on the roles of several European countries on the world stage and the development of their foreign relations.Club Courses Review2Dates: December 9th - December 12th
