Topic 3: Place of Work or StudyQuestion: Do you prefer to work at home or in the workplace?Answer: Well, for me, it depends, really. It depends on what I"m working on. If I"m doing some deep work, which means work where I have to think about it and work on it for a long time, for example, if I"m writing one of my courses, then I"d probably prefer to work maybe at home or maybe in a coffee shop or somewhere else quiet where I"m not going to be disturbed by other people coming and talking to me. Whereas if I am doing some kind of group project, then it"s definitely better to be physically in the same place as the people I"m working with because we can very easily talk to each other. We can, like, shout over and say, "Hey, what do you think about this?" So I think it depends on exactly the project that I"m working on at that time.Question: What is your favourite place to study or work?Answer: Well, I have a particular coffee shop that I like to go to. It"s about a ten minutes" walk from my house, so it"s just far enough that I"m not tempted after half an hour to go home and watch TV because it"s still ten minutes away. But it"s not so far that I get lazy and think, "Well, maybe it"s too far to go today; I"ll just stay at home and watch TV." So it"s just the right distance, and they have very nice coffee. I really enjoy the vibe, the atmosphere—it"s quiet, and people go there to work. So you feel kind of a pressure to go there and not just relax, not be silly, really concentrate on what you have to do.Question: Do you prefer to work alone or in a group?Answer: Well, I think that really depends, again, on the project. There are certain things where you need to work with other people because they have some kind of knowledge that you don"t have, or they might have some experience that you don"t have. For example, if I"m working on something related to science, I have no idea; I need to work with someone else. But there are problems with working with other people. As we talked about before, you might have to wait for them, they might be busy. There"s lots of potential problems that could occur. So if possible, I like to do work on my own, but I also welcome the chance to work in a group.Question: Which part of your school did you like the most?Answer: Well, it depends what you mean by part. I"m going to take that to mean which class. My favourite subject at school was history, and I think it"s mostly because I like stories. Even today when I listen to podcasts, it"s usually history podcasts. I find it very interesting to listen to the stories of people who lived in the past but had shared experiences, or in some ways very different experiences to what we have nowadays编辑：Moon▼IDE英创教育
