2. 专注工作学习之事Part 2Describe something you do that can help you concentrate on work/study 描述能让你专注工作/学习的事情You should say:What it isHow you learned itWhen you do itAnd explain how it helps study or work示范答案:I"m going to tell you about the thing which helps me the most in my work: pen. In the age of new electronic gadgets and technology, one may not find much use for an obsolete thing called “pen” at work, or for that matter anywhere, but I have always considered a pen as a symbol and intellect and knowledge. I also find my pen as a handy tool to help me with my work. So, how important really is a pen? Well, we will be able to understand its importance if we look back to the history of civilization. Anyway, we should have no doubt in our mind that one of the hallmarks of our past civilizations is some form of written communication where two necessary constants in the production of written records were required: a surface on which to write and a utensil or tool with which to do the writing that is called a pen. So, carrying with this tradition and the demand of our human civilization, I have also used a pen to make my life easy before on many occasions just as I use it today at work. In fact, I use this pen quite frequently when I need to make any important notes or do some brainstorming and write the findings as a result of it in order to prepare an important report or document for my boss. Sometimes I even use it to write a preliminary report or document on some piece of paper before putting them on my computer. Then, of course, I don"t think that I would be able to highlight important stuff or points on a report or document without the use of a pen. Would I? To conclude, I don"t think that I would be able to do my job properly without using a pen at one point or another. A pen has always offered me the speed and convenience of making many of my tasks more personal at my work. Finally, using a pen requires less thought and orientation from my part while also allowing me to form my opinions and speak my mind at the same time rather easily. Part 31.What is the difference between the way children learn and the way adults learn?Children and adults learn in fundamentally different ways. Adults are self-learners and decide what is important to be learned next while young students are dependent on adults for their next lessons, assignments and subjects. The children usually tend to accept the information, presented to them, based on their face values, since they have no or very little experience upon which to draw, while the adults usually try to challenge information and accept them only after validating them in the light of their beliefs and experience. Finally, children are usually motivated to learn because of rewards or punishment, but adults tend to learn because of their “interest”. 2.How would you define a student"s success?Well, that"s a hard question to answer since every student is so different. But I suppose that in general, a student is successful when they"ve become proficient in a subject and when they can extend their skills in that class to real life. It"s one thing to know how to read a book; it"s another to use thinking skills to get a job. I think that"s how you can define success when it comes to students. 3.How can you be successful at work? How can you be successful at your company? It seems to me that in order to be successful at work, you need to be driven and responsible. You also have to have a clear goal and work hard to achieve it. As far as I know, most bosses like employees who show those qualities, so they are more likely to be promoted faster than others. Besides, you should also be passionate about your job. After all, if you love what you do, you"ll never have to work a day in your life. Caring about your job can help you be better at it. 4. Has the invention of the computer made people smarter? Or does it make people think less than before?Well, personally I suppose that computers are lifesavers. They can help us think in different and challenging ways because of all the new technologies it uses. For example, you can analyze data and learn science easily on computer. But on the flip side, computers can also make us think less because they give us answers at the press of a button. People don"t really have to put their minds to anything anymore because the computers do it for them. So it"s definitely a double-edged sword. 编辑:Moon▼IDE英创教育
