12. 花费很少的特别之日Part 2Describe a special day out that cost you little money/did not cost you much 描述你花费很少的特别的一天You should say:Whenwas the day Where you wentHowmuch you spentAndexplain how you felt about the day示范答案：I have always been free with my money, truth to be told, I would splurge lavishly on cosmetics and clothes. But I came to the realization that I needed to change, because my bestie told me I was brainwashed by consumerism. All the brand premium and seemingly classy and upscale stuff are just ripping me off. So she took me out for a hiking, convincing me that happiness comes from within and cost you nothing. That day, we took a walk on the seaside, enjoying the gentle breeze and the warm sunshine. We could hear the seagulls and the whistle of the ships. And we sat on the beach, having a chitchat and enjoying the sparkling hues and tints of the sunset. Normally, I would go to the shopping malls on weekends, squandering money. But that day,   we spent only 20 yuan on two coconut drinks. I guess I had a paradigm shift after that and I benefited from it a lot. The nature, the leisure and the company from a best friend, these will cost you nothing, but give you the joy that money can not buy. Part 31. Do people like to spend their leisure time out in your country?People would prefer to be indoors instead of going out for leisure time. For example, some youngsters would stay at home playing video games all day. They wouldn"t go out for a walk which is a major hassle for them. Neither would they bother themselves going to the newly-opened restaurant to give it a shot. Instead, they prefer to order the takeout and enjoy the comfort of staying at home. I reckon it"s because they work overtime in the weekdays and prefer to lie down in their leisure time. 2. How do people spend their leisure time in China?I guess it varies from person to person. For youngsters, they"re pretty into the online recreation. So they would have screen time for leisure. However, the elderly people have a more healthy way to spend leisure time. They would go for square dancing, which is a kind of fitness activity with catchy music in the background. Or they would go to the parks with their traditional Chinese instruments and have a little concert. 3.How does technology affect the way people spend their leisure time?Mostly negatively. Nowadays the technology is always attention-oriented. The media online would dump huge amount of information to people. And the algorithm will exploit people"s attention by posting feeds all the time. It"s suffocating for them. And they gradually lose the ability to distinguish the useful information from the trash content. So their leisure time is devoted to the pointless video clips. 4. Do you think only old people have time for leisure?I beg to differ. Everyone has time for leisure. It"s just that elderly people have more leisure time since they are retired. They don"t have to be bothered by the complicated interpersonal relationships and the hectic schedule. They could have a long stretch to develop their hobbies and enjoy life. On top of that, I think other age groups could also have more leisure time. We work hard so that we could enjoy leisure. It"s not the other way around. Leisure should not be deprived from us. 编辑：Moon▼IDE英创教育
