这是一道观点类大作文,聊的是大众消费品的高销量的决定因素。题目观点将销量的决定因素归于广告的效果,而非社会的真实需求,有过于片面的嫌疑,因此可以持反对角度。下面就带大家来看具体观点。首先,广告确实有提升销量甚至使人过度消费的负面作用。一方面商家通过广告过度宣传商品的某个优势或是进行折扣促销,使得人们忽略了对商品的全面判断就进行购买,而在之后的使用中可能并不能满足购买者的实际需求。另一方面品牌方邀请明星作为代言人吸引粉丝大量购买其产品,即使这些商品并不是购买者真正需要的,许多粉丝实际上是为明星买单而非为商品付钱。

但是,因此忽略消费者需求对于大众消费品销量的影响是片面的,有三方面原因。一是一些商品能够大卖确实因为其更好地满足了大众对于更好生活的追求,比如智能手机相较于传统手机能够实现更好的通讯、娱乐、拍照等功能,因此受到人们喜爱且销量超过了传统手机成为市面上的主流。二是人们能否购买一个商品往往需要和财务状况挂钩,购买符合其消费能力的商品也是人们需求的一部分,一个广告拍得再好但如果商品价格过高,也很难推动一个低收入者去购买。三是许多广告在制作过程中为了能够吸引人,也需要考虑到人们想要什么,一个完全忽略人们真实需求的广告乃至商品可能很难获得人们的关注,更不要说购买了。

The claim may fail to give a clear assessment on the so-called “real needs” which the saleable fast-moving consumer goods can or cannot bring about. If it is interpreted with the property of “urgent” or “immediate benefit generating”, it may sound reasonable that those commodities only emerge as the derivative of the commercials. Whereas a potential value and a deeper consideration should be given to the goods on their reflections of the “true demand” of the social advance aside from drumbeating effects.

For those denouncing the “inane” products flowing over the commodity market only derived from their powerful marketing schemes, they may just hold an extreme abhorrence in the explosion of floral advertisement swamping the overwhelming mortals in every swerve of the daily life. Granted, not every successful promotion gives rise to the large scale of sales, but the best-sellers are always with an outstanding propaganda system and performance. Those commercials, various in format, meticulously designed for the content, are prompting people’s interests and influencing their values in daily purchase minutely and imperceptibly. Sadly, the true value of the commodities conveyed by this is always vaporous in their utilization, since the auxiliary functions and the veneer of vanity are much more easily delivered by the commercials due to the innovative and seemingly florid attractions: people who periodically indulge in the promotions may only care about the powerful photo-shooting capability, or the full screen display of the cell-phone and but not the network or ability in connections, for example.  

Whereas the claim exhibited above may be relatively short-sighted, especially when the essence of “real needs of the society” can be interpreted in a more extended vision. Needs within a society can not only be concluded as the presently urgent demands, including the basic welfare state, the medi-care allocated to people, or the products that with the responsibility of providing stability and convenience, but involve generating new conceptions, innovative living methods, and the possibilities that may lead to the long-term benefits and livings. Those newly produced commodities, some of which may not fit with the current social requests, definitely have a reason—existing with the new scientific conception in design, or with the potential of bringing unprecedented living experience to people—for being prevailing among their users apart from the solely commercial effects. What is more, industrial preference also proves significances to the society. The procedure of making a product widespread among people reflects both the advertising schemes and, more importantly, what industry, what area is currently on popularity, and that is also the reflection of the “real needs” in the mainstream of society.

In conclusion, dichotomization may be essential when analyzing the topic of this, and the value of some specific products with prevailing properties certainly cannot be overlooked by just considering the effect of commercials.
