坏处则在于出国可能会面临严重的语言障碍和文化隔阂，这些会让人感到不适甚至对生活造成负面影响，陌生的环境还会让人缺少安全感。同时，出国后身边缺少了熟悉的亲戚朋友，当遇到困难时当事人不得不自己面对和解决，无法和身边人倾诉并寻求帮助。

再来看留在国内的优劣势

好处有两方面。一是熟悉的语言和文化环境，以及家人和朋友的陪伴，更容易让人有安全感且舒适。（这点可以与上面的坏处对应）。二是在自己国家工作生活本身也是为了祖国的建设做出贡献，经济的发展、行业的发展、居住环境的改善等其实都是由每一个个体共同努力完成的，当自己的国家变得更好后，自己及晚辈的生活也会变得更好。

坏处则在前面的好处中也有提到，这样的选择意味着当事人可能放弃了更好的工作机会和更高的收入。

Thanks to globalization, modern society has witnessed a growing number of citizens relocating abroad for work or study. While some people believe that it is better to stay in their home country, I consider that experiencing life abroad is a worthwhile chance.

There could be reasonable justifications against working or studying abroad. For dependent people who are unable to take good care of themselves, life in a foreign country equals incredible inconvenience. This is because they get used to a lifestyle in which relatives and friends are always around to lend a helping hand. As a result, they may find great difficulty in getting all sorts of problems settled on their own so as to adapt to a new environment or build relationships with locals when living abroad. In the long run, such wide disparity and cultural shock are likely to bring about physical and mental discomfort that interferes with their daily lives; while living in their own nation is undoubtedly a preferable option as it ensures sufficient security.

However, in the vast majority of cases, studying or working abroad offers significant advantages. For workers, exploring beyond one’s home country increases employment opportunities, especially for those who live in countries plagued by severe unemployment. In this way, pursuing job opportunities on a worldwide stage is an excellent alternative that provides employees with more options. For students, immersing themselves in another nation allows for the expansion of one’s horizons, the experience of social diversity, the development of cross-cultural communication skills, and the cultivation of well-rounded competencies, all of which are of critical significance in their future career path.

Overall, working or studying abroad definitely has a role to play in providing more opportunities for both employees and students, and it is thus advised to take this life option into consideration.
