首先来看导致肥胖的原因，主要有两方面。

一是缺乏运动的情况越来越普遍，由于生活压力和竞争压力，人们将大量的时间用于工作、学习，在这过程中往往是一直坐着很少起身运动。而当长时间的工作和学习后，大脑和身体会感到疲惫，这使得人们更倾向于休息而非花更多体力进行运动。

二是食用了过多不健康的食物。许多人喜欢食用炸鸡、汉堡、奶茶等高糖高油的食物，这些食物确实在口感上更容易让人产生满足感。同时对于忙于工作的人来说，相较于传统自己烧饭，吃快餐速度更快。但是当人们缺乏自控力食用太多这类食物后，多余的成分比如糖会在人体内转化为脂肪，导致人们变胖。

解决方式有很多，这里聊两种。

一是政府、企业和明星等可以加大对于健康饮食和生活的宣传，引发人们的重视，同时通过奖励政策鼓励人们每天进行运动保持身体健康。

二是政府可以鼓励商家生产更多健康美味且食用方便的健康食物，来满足人们的口腹之欲，同时对垃圾食品征收额外的税收或要求其在包装上标明健康风险提示，进而增加不健康食物的消费成本，促使更多人减少食用量。

With an increasing average weight and decreasing overall health standards, the issue of public health has become a problem that frustrates and exhausts many governments. To my understanding, such a trend should be attributed to the modern lifestyle and the food industry which prefer profits than quality. Also, I do have some suggestions to tackle these problems. 

When it comes to the causations leading to the obesity problem, the first one that comes to my mind is the sedentary lifestyle today. Living in a society with heavy pressure, both from study and work, the younger generation have to spend most of their time facing computers, just to accomplish homework or assignment. Such a way of life inevitably leads to the lack of exercise, which becomes the main culprit of overweight.  

Apart from that, the food manufactures are another factor to blame. Induced by the enormous profit of junk food, those companies produce tons of innutritious products, such as canned food and ready meals which contain excessive sugar, fat and artificial ingredients. Exposed to such eating for a long time, consumers will be more prone to overweight and various diseases ensued.  

To tackle theses problems, the government should take multiple measures. Firstly, awareness campaigns are needed to publicize the importance of physical practice, which aims at those sitting in front of screens. Meanwhile, tax imposed on junk food is a practical measure, which can inhibit those profit-minded food companies from manufacturing unhealthy products. 

To sum up, the overweight problem is a complicated issue with both personal and business reasons, which need to be dealt with by multifaceted solutions, from increasing the public consciousness to regulating food businesses. Only by doing so, can this problem be properly addressed.
