His success was half due to talent and half the help of influential people. As a nobody, he wrote to the literary leaders of his time, Guo Moruo and Shen Congwen, seeking help, and was indeed supported. I actually stumbled upon him by chance. One day, a classmate told me that a man named Fan Zeng had married a woman 50 years younger than him. I was so shocked and thought to myself, holy shit, could it be that the chief strategist of Xiang Yu, the King of Chu, has time-traveled? Later, I found out he is a famous painter. I admire him for two reasons. First, his talents, fame and fortune. His paintings have won numerous awards and have been displayed in galleries and museums across the globe. It is said that his calligraphy works can sell for 30,000 to 100,000 per square foot, and his paintings can be auctioned for over 2 million. What I admire about him even more, however, is that at the age of 85, he managed to marry a 35-year-old woman, 50 years his junior! It"s so enviable! I also want to marry a beautiful wife much younger than me.
