安慰失恋的人这么说：there are plenty more fish in the sea！

学英语*先碰到的句型里肯定有There be——太常用了，今天就挑几个超实用的表达唠唠。

先从安慰人的说起——there are plenty more fish in the sea，*常用来劝失恋的人，意思是“还有很多合适的人（或机会）”；英式这么说，美式更爱用“there are plenty of fish in the sea”。除了劝人，也能说“还有其他机会”，比如“Don"t cry over Pierre - there are plenty more fish in the sea!”（别为皮埃尔哭了，天下好男人多的是！）；“For the motor industry, there really are other fish in the sea.”（对汽车行业来说，确实还有其他机会）。

再来说个形容人急着做事的——there is no holding sb (back)，意思是这人干起事来拦都拦不住，特别急切。比如“I finally got to the Olympics finals! It"s my lifelong dream—there"s no holding back now.”（我终于进奥运会决赛了！这是我一辈子的梦想，现在谁都拦不住我）。

再来说个带点“危险”的——there"ll be hell to pay，意思是要捅大篓子，某人肯定得发火。比如“If she doesn"t get the money on time, there"ll be hell to pay.”（她要是没及时拿到钱，那可就麻烦大了）。

最后说句俗语——there"s a time and a place (for everything)，就是“凡事得讲时间场合”，别乱搞。
